Super Bowl 60 weekend recap

In the land of San Fran...

Trolley 🚋 cars and Lombard street travels, Super Bowl 60 was being set a few miles down the road in Santa Clara.

Pat McAfee show is doing an ode to Trivia shows with recently inducted Hall of Famers.  The talking heads are giving their game day picks and analysis.  And later Saturday night Dave Chappelle did a hot take comedy on the state of US politics.

Outside of the grid iron, the Opening Ceremonies of the Winter Olympics began in Milan Cortina, Italy.  Of all the Olympic stories, US Skier ⛷️ Lindsey Vonn (41yr old) planned to compete on a ruptured ACL in her left knee (opposite her surgically repaired right knee with a titanium plate).  She did!  This is the courageous moment we should discuss.  But the reality of what happened next is the agony of defeat. She crashes near the top of the course and ends up breaking a bone thus ending her 41yr old comeback story.  

As the news spread throughout the day, the Super Bowl was ever closer to starting and the story slowly became the rematch of Super Bowl 49.  Would Seattle get revenge or would the New England Patriots win again with their rookie Quarterback, Drake Maye?  On another news thread, what would Bad Bunny’s halftime show be like?  Then the game began!   The Seattle Seahawks defense annihilated the Patriots!  The Patriots had 0 points at the start of the 4th quarter and ended up losing 29-13.  Maye was sacked six times tying a Super Bowl record.  Sam Darnold finally overcomes the backup quarterback reputation, a running back; Kenneth Walker grabs MVP honors and Bad Bunny has one of the most watched Super Bowl halftime shows of all time!   Even host city, San Francisco (not technically, but everyone knows Santa Clara is suburbia of SanFran) was shown as a wonderful host city by fans and haters alike.
